Meet Kerry Bartrand

Providence Lake is a community of great people and great families.

Kerry Bartrand, one of the builders at Providence Lake, has enjoyed building fine homes around west Michigan for over seventeen years. But there is something he enjoys even more—spending time with his family and creatively cooking for them. "I’m the king of invented dishes," says Kerry, "I’m always throwing together a bit of this and a bit of that, just to see what comes out." At regular family gatherings, his children and two young grandchildren, enjoy seeing just what cuisine Dad’s imagination has cooked up this time. This is especially true when "Noodle Surprise" is on the menu. This pasta dish is never the same and the family eagerly awaits the outcome. Kerry laughingly admits, "Sometimes everybody loves it, and sometimes it’s scraped into the dog dish!".

It was his emphasis on family that led Bartrand out of business administration and into construction. "I’m not a corporate kind of guy. I would rather spend time with people and thinking through their needs and solutions than sit in an office."

Kerry is just one of the people of Providence Lake, we look forward to introducing you to a few more.

“...for us, Byron Center has been a place to put down roots and grow our family. No matter where we go, when we return there’s a welcoming transition to coming home. And when children raised in Byron Center leave for college, they return later to live and raise their families. We look forward to living in the same community as our grandchildren! I think Byron Center is the kind of place families dream about.”
-Audrey Nevins, Byron Township Supervisor
